August 2010
The hot summer has made up for the cool Spring.
Fortunately, we are due East of the Delta on a high plateau and it cools off here, after the sun goes down, because of the ocean breezes coming through the Carquinez Straight.
Here are some ideas for cool activities, during the day:
Buy an Ice Cream Treat in our store, and/or other "goodies".
Swim in our pool: www.marblequarry.com/tour1.htm
Visit the Springfield Trout Farm, shady and cool: "The people who work there are so nice and accommodating. we bring our scouts here every year. they have so much fun. For most of them this is their first fishing experience. I like how they can have that first experience in a controlled environment. And they are guaranteed to catch a fish. It is worth the trip to have that kind of positive and educational experience".
